Wayne has successfully resolved numerous complex civil litigation matters through litigation, and an extensive listing of his representative matters can be found below. He has extensive experience successfully resolving cases involving wrongful death, personal injury, and business litigation. Wayne was born in in Beaumont, Texas as an eighth generation Texan. He graduated Deer Park High School in 1989.
Wayne graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, with honors, in 1993. He received his law degree from South Texas College of Law – Houston in 1996.
As a trial lawyer, Wayne has won record-setting courtroom victories and negotiated high-value settlements throughout Texas and around the country. In 2000, he obtained the largest settlement in Hardin County, Texas history for a widower and his six young children after a drunk driver in a company vehicle killed their wife and mother. Wayne also obtained a multi-million dollar plaintiff’s verdict in Dallas County in a commercial fraud lawsuit, which was the largest single-plaintiff verdict in Dallas County history at that time. In 2002, Wayne’s $177 million jury verdict in an Alexandria, Virginia fraud case was the largest verdict in Virginia history and the 11th largest in the nation for the year 2002.
Since that time, Wayne has resolved hundreds of additional matters, including BP explosion cases and other multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts. Wayne’s practice spans from commercial disputes, maritime matters, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, explosion cases, civil rights, employment matters and first party insurance disputes.
